Our History

Cobb Environmental & Technical Services, Inc. (CETS) was founded by Brian Cobb on April 17, 1997.  CETS’ owner carried 20 years of experience previously as an environmental professional with various firms, and as an environmental and construction manager for a national convenience store chain.  Headquartered in Tupelo, MS, CETS’ group of Professional Geologists, Professional Engineers, technicians, construction professionals and expert petroleum specialists assists customers with their environmental and fuel system opportunities.  The customers include, governmental, institutional, retail and commercial facilities.

As a provider of environmental consulting services, CETS assists banks, manufacturers, real estate companies, the petroleum marketing industry as well as local and state governments throughout the Southern United States.

In September, 1997, CETS entered the fuel system construction industry by the execution of a contract with a major convenience store chain to complete their tank upgrades to meet the 1998 EPA mandated UST upgrade requirements.  That contract involved upgrading underground storage tanks with impressed current cathodic protection systems, new overfill protection devices and overspill containments.  CETS accomplished the upgrades well within the mandated deadline of December 1998

In 1998, CETS successfully constructed its first ground-up gas station for Sam’s Club in Jackson, Tennessee.  Since that time, CETS has become a common name among ‘big box’ retailers that have fuel stations – Walmart, Kroger, Costco, and Murphy USA.  We have consistently provided outstanding ‘turn-key’ services through the years.  Our services have extended throughout the Southern region of the United States, specifically, from Texas to the Carolina’s.

In July of 2015 we established an office in Memphis Tennessee to further support our customer network in Western Tennessee and Eastern Arkansas.
